In this guide, we’ll explore how you can get Poison weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign. Find out why you need such weapons.

Every time you begin an expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign, the game will force you to start from scratch. That means you’ll need to discover items and proper weapons that can help you take on the Night Lords. Going up against these bosses without properly arming yourself first is something you’d want to avoid at all costs. Every enemy or boss you face in the game has some resistances and weaknesses. For instance, some bosses are weak to the fire element, while others might be weak against poison weapons and items.
If you run into a boss that’s weak against poison, you need to first acquire poison damage-inflicting weapons or items. In this guide, we’ll explore how you can get your hands on some Poison weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How To Find Poison Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign

The game’s map makes it easy for you to locate weapons that inflict certain types of damage. You’ll just need to pull up the Limveld map and search the screen for the poison icon. It’s the icon in the image above, showcasing a few bubbles on a green background. Any of the locations on the map marked with this icon will have either a mini-boss that drops a poison weapon or a chest that you can open to get such an item.
If you don’t encounter any mini-bosses or chests in such an area, it might mean that you won’t find a poison weapon there. Instead, you might find a consumable poison-damage inflicting item. Some examples of poisonous items include:
- Poison Spraymist
- Fetid Pot
- Poison Spraymist
- Poisonbone Dart
Besides them, you might also discover incantations and spells that could inflict poison damage. For instance, the Poison Armament and Poison Mist are some of the spells that you might find that let you inflict poison-based damage on enemies.

How To Use Poison Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign

Poison weapons act differently from Fire and Holy weapon types. Instead of simply adding numbered stats to the weapon in question, poison weapons have special ailments or weapon skills to inflict poison damage. For instance, the Venomous Fang weapon can inflict an enemy with the Poison status ailment. Therefore, you should keep such weapons handy when going up against challenging foes who are weak to Poison.
A great example of this is the Night Lord Adel Baron of Night. You can attack Adel a few times with poison weapons to cause the creature to start violently throwing up. Just stay clear of its venomous vomit and take this opportunity to rain down a barrage of hits on him. Or, you can also take this time to recover your HP and begin the fight anew.
