Everything you need to know about the new Nightfarers and their abilities in Elden Ring Nightreign’s The Forsaken Hollows DLC.

Elden Ring Nightreign’s new DLC, The Forsaken Hollows comes with two new Nightfarers. Although FromSoftware did announce plans for a DLC ahead of the game’s release, they only recently revealed The Forsaken Hollows, complete with a gameplay trailer and a release date. Naturally, the biggest attraction of any FromSoftware project, be it a game or an expansion, are boss fights.
However, in the case of Nightreign, the Nightfarers, i.e., the playable characters are equally as exciting as the bosses themselves. The base game already featured 8 unique Nightfarers. With the upcoming DLC, FromSoftware is adding two more to the roster, the Scholar and the Undertaker.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Nightfarers in Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows.
Who Are The New Nightfarers In Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows DLC?

The two new Nightfarers that come with The Forsaken Hollows DLC are Scholar and Undertaker. Both these Nightfarers are a unqiue take on the “Mage” archetype. However, where the Scholar specializes in Sorcery, Undertaker relies on Incantations. What sets the new Nightfarers apart from the likes of Revenant and Recluse is how they use Sorceries/Incantations.
Both Recluse and Revenant come with impressive Intelligence and Faith scaling. However, unlike Nightfarers like Wylder, Raider, and the Executor, Recluse and Revenant play a supportive role, for the most part, in Expeditions. This is further exemplified by the fact that there are very few offensive Incantations in the current version of Elden Ring Nightreign.
However, in the case of Scholar and Undertaker, both these Nightfarers are geared towards a more offensive playstyle. Let’s take a better look at the two new Nightfarers in Elden Ring’s The Forsaken Hollows DLC:
Undertaker

The Undertaker starts with a Mace as her starting armament, and her Ultimate Art allows her to absorb and retaliate an incoming lethal attack. Furthermore, the Undertaker is also a Strength-Faith hybrid, and thus, will have access to some incredibly powerful weapons. She will be the perfect fit for weapons like Marika’s Hammer, Blasphemous Blade, etc.
Scholar

The Scholar, on the other hand, specializes in Thrusting Swords, and also has an offensive Ultimate Art that applies an AOE debuff on enemies. We don’t currently know about the precise attribute spread for the new Nightfarers; however, Scholar does seem have very high Arcane stats. As such, he should be able to use weapons like the Antspur Rapier to dish out high affinity damage.
Apart from Arcane, the Scholar will have decent Intelligence scaling. And judging from his choice of Thrusting Swords, he should also have good scaling in Dexterity as well.
