Let’s take a look at the new Enshrouded Update 7 teaser trailer, which was shown during the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025.
The Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 revealed the next major content update for Enshrouded, titled Wake of the Water. The game is still in early access but already features a lot of content to explore. The next addition is one of the most highly anticipated pieces of content by fans. The upcoming update will feature a water biome where you will mostly be swimming around to access various locations.
This update aims to redefine exploration, building, and survival in the game. With that said, here is what we know about the Enshrouded Update 7.
When Is Enshrouded Update 7 Releasing?
The Enshrouded Wake of the Water Update 7 is set for release in October 2025. There is no exact release date at the moment. The Gamescom reveal only showed a release window for the upcoming content. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.
What the Enshrouded Update 7 Trailer Revealed
The trailer also teased fans about what’s to come. The trailer did not go into details on what fans can expect when it arrives. However, the teaser gave just enough to spark speculation.
The biggest tease in the trailer is the underwater exploration. You might be doing a lot of swimming to reach key locations in the new area. It’s not just an underwater area either. There are areas filled with seagrass and aquatic creatures. On the other hand, there are also underwater ruins.
On top of the underwater scenes, there is also a thick forest where you can find a massive temple. New enemy encounters are also in the gameplay footage. They seem to look like two-legged crocodiles. These enemies can swim, as seen in the trailer. However, it’s yet to be seen if there will be underwater combat.
Keep in mind that the trailer revealed in the Gamescom 2025 livestream is early development footage. This means changes might happen before it arrives in the game. Despite this, the upcoming Enshrouded Update 7 is already shaping up to be an interesting expansion, and it’s coming in around 2 months.
