The new Veilwater Basin is the new biome added in the Enshrouded Wake of the Water update. There is a lot to discover in this new biome. You will find new items that unlock recipes that help you explore the area more. This includes items that help you breathe underwater. On top of that, there is also a fishing minigame that you can take part in.
But before everything else, you still need to know how you can get to this new area in the game. That said, here is a guide on how you can reach the Veilwater Basin biome in Enshrouded.
How To Get to Veilwater Basin in Enshrouded Wake of the Water
You can find Veilwater Basin just northwest of Embervale. However, getting there can be a bit tricky. The fastest way to reach the area is by gliding down west from the Ancient Spire in Alberneath Summits. You may not spot the passage at first, so you will need to keep gliding until you find it.
Jump left towards the edge and keep gliding west of the map compass. Eventually, you will spot a massive hole in the mountains. Just below the hole, you will see a castle or fortress-like structure. Keep an eye out for an opening in the mountainside, next to the fortress. If you are facing the front of the fortress, it should be on the left. However, if you find yourself standing at an overlook with a clear view of a valley, you may have overshot the path. Subsequently, look for a subtle downward slope into a narrow passage.
Walking through the narrow path will take you to the Passage to the Veilwater Basin Biome in Enshrouded. Keep moving forward, and it will take you to the new biome that’s part of the Wake of the Water update.
Things To Keep in Mind
The new area is not your average mid-game zone. Moreover, the biome will mostly have wth high-level enemies that can be tough to beat if you come unprepared.
- Ensure you upgrade your Altar and gears. You don’t want the unpleasant surprise of dying on arrival.
- Bring items that aid in swimming or underwater traversal, as new underwater mechanics are part of this patch.
- Consider scouting the area first, building a safe camp or checkpoint near the entrance.
Most enemies in the area are around Level 37. This means, if you are underleveled, you should not prioritize this new area. Once you are done exploring, try to set up a home base. You’ll need it if you want to complete quests and do fishing minigames.
