Learn about how you can play as the Revenant, the summoning magic-based Nightfarer in Elden Ring Nightreign.

The Revenant is one of the eight Nightfarers in Elden Ring Nightreign and the second one you can unlock. She specializes in a support-based playstyle with her primary mechanic centered around summoning her “family.” These summons can be one of three guardians who step onto the battlefield to fight by your side.
The Revenant can also summon the specters of the enemies she has defeated to fight for her. Since she has low health, the Revenant isn’t well-suited for fighting on the frontline, and functions better as a ranged caster.
To experience her unique playstyle, follow along with our guide and learn how to unlock the final class in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to Unlock the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here is a summary of everything you need before unlocking the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign:
- Defeat Tricephalos (Gladius, Beast of Night).
- Unlock the Duchess class.
- Buy Besmirched Frame from the Small Jar Bazaar
Once you defeat Gladius in the first expedition, you will find a Timepiece. Speak with the priestess in the Roundtable Hold and unlock the Duchess class.
To find the Small Jar Bazaar, head through the entrance on the left side of the “Perform Relic Rights” altar. Turn left and you will find the Small Jar Bazaar at the end of the corridor. Interact with the trader to open his shop and browse it to find the Besmirched Frame relic.
Head to the East Wing of the Roundtable Hold, which is through the passage on the right of the journal stand. On your left, you will see a phantom of a short female doll staring at a painting. Interact with the ghostly figure, and you will be transported to the tutorial area in Limveld.
Defeat the Night Idol Boss

Unlike the tutorial, you will now be facing the Night Idol, who is actually the Revenant herself. The boss fight will begin with the default loadout of whichever class you had equipped before interacting with the phantom. You are up against the Night Idol and her three summons: the brawny Pumpkin Head, the duelist Page, and the upper half of a giant skeleton, which remains stationary.
- All the enemies move at different speeds, so kite them and only fight one at a time.
- The Ironeye will have the easiest time winning this battle, as he has unlimited ammo and can wear down all four opponents from a safe distance.
- The Wylder is also extremely effective as he can isolate Page with the grappling hook and swiftly maneuver over to fight the Night Idol by herself.
- The Night Idol has low health and can be quickly dispatched once her bodyguards are dealt with. You can also try baiting them away from her before charging her directly. Once the Night Idol is defeated, her summons vanish.
Once you have defeated the Night Idol, you will return to the Roundtable Hold. The Revenant will now be available as a playable class for your expeditions.
