The A Letter From an Old Friend quest in Escape From Duckov has various objectives you must complete one after another. This side quest mainly revolves around finding a letter, locating an NPC, and then delivering the letter. You receive this quest after repairing the Signal Tower.
To start the quest, speak to Jeff and accept his request. The mission will then be logged into your journal. After that, head toward the Ground Zero area. Explore the map freely until you find a red tent near an observation post on the Small Hill. The letter will be there. To be more specific, the Small Hill is located at the center of the map.
Do not worry, the camp will be empty, and you will not have to engage with any hostile forces. Once you have picked up the letter, it will count as a quest item in your inventory.
