Get the encrypted blueprint from the rogue Scientist’s dorm to complete the Defense Field quest in Escape From Duckov.
The Defense Field is a straightforward quest in Escape From Duckov. You get this quest from Xiaoming, and you must locate a dorm in Farm Town, retrieve a unique encrypted blueprint that is supposed to reveal the secrets of making low-cost defense shields, and then deliver it to complete the quest.
While that sounds simple enough, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. To avoid any sort of complications, follow this walkthrough of the Defense Field quest in Escape From Duckov and complete the sole objective of the mission easily.
How To Complete the Defense Field Quest in Escape From Duckov
Once you accept the Defense Field quest from Xiaoming in Escape From Duckov, you will see the following text:
“I learned that a rogue scientist developed a low-cost way to generate defense fields. The blueprint is in his room, Dorm 101, Construction Site, Farm Town. With that, we won’t have to worry about getting pelted by those small stones on the way.”
The quote suggests that you must find a blueprint for creating Defense Fields at lower costs, created by a scientist gone rogue. As you can see, you only get one objective for this mission and no requirements. So, feel free to launch a raid whenever you feel like it.
Once you do, travel to Farm Town as mentioned by the quest giver, and then find the Construction Site. There, you will find the scientist’s residence, Dorm 101. Enter and explore the area a little bit to find the Cosmic Defense Field Blueprint (Encrypted). Your job is now done, and you can report back to Xiaoming to complete the Defense Field quest in Escape From Duckov.
However, you must note that on your way to Farm Town’s Dorm 101, you might encounter various enemies such as scavengers or mercenaries, depending on the route you choose. Killing them is completely optional and not a part of the quest. So, avoiding unnecessary conflict is also a valid path that you can take.

Rewards for Completing the Defense Field Quest in Escape From Duckov
The moment you complete the Defense Field quest in Escape From Duckov, you unlock two additional missions named Official Sniper and Collect Samples in Space Storm. In addition to that, you get the following reward associated with the quest:
