The Workbench in Escape From Duckov is the most essential piece of tool you will need. It is the gateway to crafting items in the game, and as you upgrade it to higher tiers, you gain access to more and more blueprints. Thankfully, you will create your first workbench quite early in the game, and then it will be up to you to gather materials and take it to another level. To give you a better understanding of the process, here’s a comprehensive guide on how to craft and upgrade the Workbench in Escape From Duckov.

The moment you unlock Base Construction in Ground Zero during the early game, the Workbench becomes available to you. Specifically, when you meet Jeff in the game.

Now, to complete the Base Construction quest, you will need to gather 2x wood. If you do not know where to find the woods, we recommend going to areas with greater scavenging opportunities. Look into the various small sheds near the Residential Blocks, or if you somehow have the money for it, buy the required materials from the traders.

Once that is done and you have unlocked the Workbench, go back to your base and open the Shelter Menu. From there, select Workbench and craft it with the following materials:

  • 2x Wood
  • 1x Scrap Metal (depending on your difficulty mode)

Place it anywhere you want in your base after crafting, and you have a fully functional Workbench to use now. Furthermore, from here on out, you will gain access to basic blueprints such as water filters, normal ammo, and scrap tools.

How To Upgrade Workbench in Escape From Duckov

Jeff will give you a quest to upgrade your Workbench after you have created it. Accept the mission and start gathering the following materials:

  • Circuit Boards
  • Bolts and Metal Plates
  • Light Bulbs and Plastic

These are the only resources you will need to upgrade your Workbench for the very first time in Escape From Duckov. Additionally, the materials are easy to find, and you can also obtain plastic from dismantling water bottles.

Now, go back to your base and open the Workbench menu. There, navigate to Upgrades and then to Advanced Progression II. Then simply unlock it by paying the following resources:

  • 4x Wood
  • 2x Steel
  • 1x Circuit Board

Congratulations, now you have successfully upgrade your Workbench and have access to brand new blueprints for Fishing Rod, Weapon Modifications, and more. However, do not just stop there; now that you know the method, keep upgrading your Workbench to unlock more and more new items. Also, remember to expand the storage at your base, since the higher-tier crafting you do, the more materials you will need.
