Learn how to open Locked Crates in Escape From Duckov to get better loot and boost your survivability in the wild.

In Escape From Duckov, the Locked Crates are unique loot caches that can provide some decent gear, like guns and armour. However, these crates are usually locked, as the name suggests, which stops you from looting them. Fortunately, you can open the Locked Crates during your runs, given that you have the correct equipment.
To help you out, here’s how you can open Locked Crates in Escape from Duckov.
How To Open Locked Crates in Escape from Duckov

You can open Locked Crates in Escape From Duckov with either a Crowbar or Keys. Note that not all Locked Crates unlock using the Crowbar, as some require special Keys to gain access to the loot inside them. Here’s how you can obtain both the Crowbar and the Keys:
- Crowbar: You can find these during your runs from loot crates or enemy drops. Moreover, you can craft some at your Hideout using three Metal Scraps if you have the Crowbar Blueprint.
- Keys: Keys are special loot that drop from enemies or found in high-tier crates. You cannot craft Keys in your Hideout. Note that there are many types of Keys in the game, so carry a Key Case with you, which can hold up to eight Keys.
If you find a regular Locked Crate, you must equip the Crowbar before opening it. Simply go into your inventory, equip the Crowbar in your Melee Slot, and press V. Then, approach the crate to get the prompt to unlock it. If you have a crate that requires a Key, the crate automatically uses it when interacted with.
