Can You Change Action Lock Key Bind?
The default button to use Action Lock in Europa Universalis 5 is the ‘Scroll Button.’ Once you activate it, you will immediately observe a difference as the camera comes to a standstill. If you would like to change this setting, you will notice that there is no immediate input binding change option for this command. On the contrary, you can change the Camera Lock keybind from the settings. Camera lock differs in features, as, unlike the Action Lock, it would not be able to follow units. The camera will be in a stationary spot and unmovable until reversed.
You can change the Action Lock outside of the game by accessing the document files for the game. Depending on which drive you have installed the game on, go to the game’s folder. Within it, you would find either ‘settings.txt,’ ‘input.txt,’ or ‘keybindings.txt.’ Open this file and look for the ‘Action Lock’ command. Now simply replace the action with your preferred key, save the file, and restart the game.
