Apple’s annual WWDC conference did not just touch up on the mainstream devices and their upgrades. Instead, it turned out to be an all-around event that also saw the Apple TV getting some interesting upgrades. Essentially, you will get a new experience with the Apple TV which has received brand-new software upgrades.
These upgrades also enhance the Apple TV’s performance within the entire Apple ecosystem, especially with the Apple Music integration. In this article, we will explore all the new Apple TV features that were revealed at the WWDC 2025. We will also look at the details for the new tvOS 26 beta and how you can get it.
What’s New in Apple tvOS 26?

Apple has completely overhauled the design with the new tvOS 26. This features the new Liquid Glass concept, inspired by the look of visionOS. The new design features a better UI with more soothing menus, which even react to the surrounding environment. Everything from the playback seeker and media details now has a sleek, glass-like look to it.
The TV app has been redesigned to allow users better access to their entertainment. Now, the Apple tvOS 26 will display posters in a new way where the home screen displays more movies and shows. Of course, Apple incorporates the new design concept of Liquid Glass here as well. tvOS 26 also brings an enhanced FaceTime experience, similar to how it works on iOS.
Apple Music Integration

Apple has also introduced better integration with Apple Music, as part of tvOS 26. Now, users can create sing-along sessions powered by Apple TV and their iPhone. Lyrics of the song will be visible on the team, being played via Apple Music. Users can also use their iPhone as a handheld microphone. This will surely be a great feature to use at parties.
This new feature also allows you to reduce the song’s vocal volume levels, along with increasing or decreasing the microphone reverb. To enhance the UX further, this new Apple Music experience, powered by tvOS 26, also features live lyrics translation. So, jamming to songs with other people who don’t even know that language is entirely possible thanks to this incredible new addition.
