There are 14 Lives to choose from in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, with each having its own role to play in combat, gathering resources, or crafting. Each Life has its independent level, rank, skill tree, perks, and challenges. While you can switch between all the Lives freely, there is a limit to how much you can play a single Life before it maxes out.

Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time: Life Level Cap

The level cap for every Life in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is 100. Once a particular Life reaches level 100, it can still gain XP and progress its skill tree, but leveling up further is not possible.

Once you have leveled up one Life to its maximum, it’s time to switch over and progress others. Activities like gathering and defeating enemies award XP to the currently equipped Life, meaning you should have the Lives you want to level up equipped as often as possible.

Life Rank Levels

Life Rank is indicated by the title below a particular Life. Here are all the Life Ranks you can achieve with each Life:

  • Novice
  • Fledgling
  • Apprentice
  • Adept
  • Expert
  • Master
  • Hero

As your mastery of a Life increases, you can earn rank points through Life Challenges. These challenges are quests exclusive to their respective Life, and each rank has distinct challenges. Maxing out a Life’s level, completing all its challenges, and reaching Hero rank with it will bring you one step closer to 100% game completion.

Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time: Level Cap Beyond 100

Although Lives currently max at level 100, there is a good chance for this upper limit to increase further. In Fantasy Life, the level cap was 99 during the game’s launch. However, with the Origin Island DLC, the level cap was increased to 200.

Level-5 has already announced a free DLC called Update the World that is expected to make late-game additions to the game. So it may not be too long before Lives will be able to exceed level 100 in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
