Here we will be exploring the depths after reuniting with Edward in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
After a successful rescue attempt at turning Duglas back to normal, he accompanies us and helps smash a boulder in our path. He also agrees to become our go-to guy and to come assist us with such matters whenever we require. The path that opens up reveals the path to finally rejoin Edward.

Smash the Boulder in Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time
Once you are done clearing the boulder, move ahead. Over here, you will stumble upon some objects called ‘Copper Deposit.’ Collect some of these ores if you wish, as it may be part of your daily objectives. Once content, proceed forward and enter through the next alley. At the end of the alley, you will reach an area with a strange moss-filled robot in the middle of a room connected via a bridge.
A cutscene will trigger where Edward tries to make sense of what the strange robot is. Your character does something with the robot and makes it start working again. The robot immediately takes a liking to ‘Trip.’ Edward gives us the idea of adding the robot to our expeditions. We also acquire the ‘ancient robot’s arm’ as an item. This will be used for later purposes to help restore the robot to its former glory.
After the cutscene ends, proceed forward through the same alleyway and take a left. Use Duglas to help and smash the boulder on our path, and continue to proceed through the second alleyway as well. Once you pass through and reach near the last exclamation mark, a cutscene triggers. Carla makes a return. In a rage of fury, she spawns a polturnip, trapping Edward on the other side with her. With the help of Trip, they try to uproot, but to no avail. They then decide to travel back in time to look for a solution.
