Explore this article to find out how to navigate through the Lulab Forest in Chapter 4 of Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time.
Once you come to the past and land on Eternia Village, talk to Rem, and she tells you about the Spirit Hoe that you can get from Faraway Island. Talk to Skelegon to find out if you have Faraway Island as a fast-travel location.
On the island, a short cutscene plays when you land, which is followed by someone screaming. The scream came from the middle of the village, and you must go there to continue the quest.
At the location, you find an NPC named Mato lamenting over his destroyed pumpkin patch. Moreover, he also tells you that the Spirit Hoe must be in the Valley of Spirits, beyond Lulab Forest. Lulab Forest in Chapter 4 of Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals
After the dialogue with Mato ends, head to the right side of the village. You can find a large hollow tree, which serves as an entrance to Lulab Forest. Do note that the average enemy level in this location is 15. Therefore, level up and return to fight your way through and get loot. Additionally, you can ignore the enemies and run to objects, which will result in you missing out on loot and Strangelings.
Once you enter the forest, open the map to see the location layout. You can see that Lulab Forest is divided into many different sections, with paths connecting them from cardinal directions. From the entrance, you can either explore each section thoroughly or head straight to the objective. Here are the paths that you need to select if you wish to reach the objective directly:
Pathing from the entrance: Up → Left → Up → Right → Up → Up
As you can see in the image above, there are many elite enemies on the right side of Lulab Forest. Defeating them is recommended to obtain good items.
Once you enter the objective section, you get trapped in a strange place with three exits. Moreover, you cannot fast-travel and open the map in this location. Additionally, if you try to exit this location, you get sent back to the same entrance. Select the exit on the right side to trigger a cutscene that results in returning to the village. Mato suggests you find Pino to help you get across Lulab Forest.
