To lift the purple seals in the dungeons, you need a specific resource called Dark Fire. It becomes available only after completing the story campaign once. Upon completing the campaign, talk to Trip at the Base Camp and Edward at the Guild Office to learn about the Stone Slates, which introduce Dark Fire and grant access to them.

The number of Dark Fire required varies for different locations. While the seal at the Quetzal Nest requires 10 Dark Fires to lift, those at Cave of Trials and Warren Willow Hollow require 30 and 50 Dark Fires, respectively. Stocking up on the Dark Fires is crucial if you intend to lift the seals at various dungeons.

How To Obtain the Dark Fire in Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time

While Dark Fire is rare and valuable, obtaining it is no easy task. It rarely drops from shadow monsters. You can find plenty of shadow monsters inside the fort in Ginormosia, which is located north of West Greatgut Plains. Slaying the shadow monsters doesn’t always drop the item, due to its rarity.

However, you can increase your chances of finding the Dark Fire by unlocking the Item Drop Rate + skill, which increases the drop rate chance by 10%. Additionally, you can also obtain Dark Fire from special gathering nodes.
