In this guide, we take a look at how you can destroy the corrupted items in FBC Firebreak and stop their effects.

In FBC Firebreak, there is a corrupted item mechanic that can alter your job experience significantly. When such an item is present on the map, it can create special effects during a match, most of which will not be beneficial to you. For instance, some corrupted items can reduce gravity or make your foes faster. If you want to get rid of these items and reduce the unpredictability factor in a match, the game offers several ways to do so.
In this guide, we explore how you can destroy corrupted items in FBC Firebreak.
How To Destroy Corrupted Items in FBC Firebreak

Whenever you begin a Job, check whether you have a purple optional objective marker. If you have one, that means somewhere on the map, you can find a corrupted item. This item will add a gameplay modifier to the Job unless you find and destroy it. Unfortunately, your standard weapons will not damage the item. Here are a couple of ways to neutralize the corrupted items.
Find and Use the Black Rock Neutralizer
The Black Rock Neutralizer is a special weapon that spawns in one of the ammo stations inside the zone where the corrupted item is located. You will need to visit all of the ammo stations in that zone to find the one that contains this special weapon.
You will notice that the Black Rock Neutralizer is extremely powerful, even when used against tougher foes. However, its ammunition is limited, so make sure you do not use it freely before destroying the corrupted item. In some cases, you might find an additional Neutralizer at one of the ammo stations in other zones, or they may spawn in your shelter. Regardless of whether there are multiple Neutralizers, we suggest taking care of the corrupted item as soon as you acquire this weapon.
Acquire the Black Rock Rounds Perk

Once you reach account level 19, you will be able to unlock a perk called Black Rock Rounds. You will find it under the Bullet section inside your Research menu. With this perk, your standard weapons have a chance of firing a Black Rock round from time to time. You can use this ability to destroy corrupted items without needing to find the Black Rock Neutralizer.
Keep in mind that you can unlock more powerful tiers for this perk, increasing the likelihood that a normal gun will fire the special Black Rock rounds. To do that, you will need to spend five Lost Assets. These are collectible files that you can pick up while pursuing Jobs.
