Rods in Cursed Sea Update Fisch
The Cursed Sea Update adds nine new rods to Fisch, each located across different islands in the Second Sea. These rods vary in terms of stats, cost, and availability. 1. Adventurer’s Rod
- Location: Automatically obtained when you unlock the Second Sea
- Price: Free
- Stats: 10% Lure, 10% Luck, 0 Control, 5% Resilience, 104kg Max Kg
This is the starting rod in the new area. Its stats are extremely low, making it unsuitable for anything beyond initial testing. Replace it as soon as possible.
2. Wildflower Rod
- Location: Beside the Merchant on Waveborne Island (X=166, Y=115, Z=727)
- Price: 7,000 E$
- Stats: 30% Lure, 55% Luck, 0.07 Control, 12% Resilience, 700kg Max Kg
The Wildflower Rod offers a good balance of lure speed and luck. While it doesn’t have a passive, it’s a reliable early-game upgrade from the Adventurer’s Rod.
3. Firefly Rod
- Location: Same Merchant as Wildflower Rod, Waveborne Island
- Price: 9,500 E$
- Stats: 75% Lure, 35% Luck, -0.01 Control, 0% Resilience, 175kg Max Kg
This rod has the highest lure speed in the update but sacrifices resilience and control. Use this if you’re targeting fast catches and not concerned with fish size or endurance.
4. Frog Rod
- Location: Chamber of the Abyssal Zenith (X=222, Y=119, Z=812)
- Price: 12,000 Cash
- Stats: 20% Lure, 100% Luck, 0.05 Control, 5% Resilience, 650kg Max Kg
- Passive: Increases luck every 2 minutes after a perfect catch
The Frog Rod is a mid-tier pick that prioritizes luck. Its passive ability encourages precision timing and rewards skill. It’s especially useful when farming for rare fish.
5. Free Spirit Rod
- Location: Beside the Angler on the Isle of New Beginnings (X=-389, Y=-78, Z=389)

This rod is extremely expensive but offers excellent stats. Despite lacking a passive, its control and luck make it a strong late-game option.
6. Blazebringer Rod
- Location: Near the pond on Emberreach Island (X=2874, Y=164, Z=528)
- Price: 70,000 E$
- Stats: 10% Lure, 90% Luck, 0.15 Control, 8% Resilience, 5000kg Max Kg
Blazebringer trades lure speed for high luck and control. It lacks a passive, but its high max weight capacity makes it a solid pick for players prioritizing heavy fish.
7. Azure of Lagoon Rod
- Location: Bottom of the ladder near the Inn Keeper (X=1288, Y=93, Z=2283)
- Price: 100,000 E$
- Stats: 25% Lure, 105% Luck, -0.01 Control, 55% Resilience, 100,000kg Max Kg
Azure of Lagoon offers an unmatched max weight limit. While control is slightly negative, the resilience and capacity make it a strong contender for endurance-based fishing.
8. Verdant Shear Rod
- Location: Near the Merchant on Lushgrove Island (X=1022, Y=130, Z=-697)
- Price: 100,000 E$
- Stats: 25% Lure, 150% Luck, 0.15 Control, 10% Resilience, 5000kg Max Kg
- Passive: Spawns a tree on top of fishes
This rod combines high luck with a unique passive. The tree spawn can make fish easier to catch or slow them down. It’s both functional and visually distinct.
9. Great Dreamer Rod
- Location: Near the tree at the back of Cursed Shores Island (X=2874, Y=164, Z=528)
- Price: 500,000 E$
- Stats: 65% Lure, 80% Luck, 0.12 Control, 12% Resilience, 8000kg Max Kg
The Great Dreamer Rod has excellent overall stats. While it doesn’t feature a passive, the combination of high lure speed and balanced attributes makes it one of the best all-rounders available.
