Discover the secrets to capturing the Magma Leviathan in Roblox’s Fisch. Master the depths with our step-by-step guide.

Catching secret fish in Fisch is about unlocking the game’s biggest challenges. The Mariana’s Veil update introduced five of these massive creatures, each more dramatic than the last. Among them is the Magma Leviathan, a fire-themed sea beast that’s required to solve the Giant Gate puzzle in the Calm Zone.
That alone makes it one of the most important catches in the game. Found deep in the Volcanic Vents, this dragon-like fish demands specific gear, bait, and weather conditions. The process is long, the odds are rough, and the grind can drag. Still, once everything lines up, the catch is guaranteed.
Catch Magma Leviathan in Fisch Roblox
To catch the Magma Leviathan in Fisch, start by unlocking access to the Volcanic Vents. This requires completing Dr. Glimmerfin’s submarine-building quest. Without the submarine, you can’t dive into Mariana’s Veil. Once the quest is done, travel to Roslit Bay and begin your descent into the first trench layer. Since all deeper layers are locked initially, the path will automatically lead you toward the Volcanic Vents.
When you reach the Submarine Shipwright, head south. If the cave blocks your route, move west and continue until you reach the lava pond. Equip your Advanced Glider before entering, as several rock formations along the path can burn you, and repeated damage will cost you a life.

Now, focus on the fishing setup. The Magma Leviathan only bites under specific conditions:
- Location: Volcanic Vents lava pond
- Time: Daytime
- Weather: Foggy
- Season: Summer
- Bait: Truffle Worm (best) or Fish Head (backup)
- Rods: Rod of the Forgotten Fang, Hasty Enchanted Heaven’s Rod, Abyssal Specter Rod, or Tempest Rod
You can’t change the in-game season manually. Instead, monitor the real-time cycle and wait for summer, which comes every eight hours. To adjust the weather, use a Smokescreen Totem to force foggy conditions. If you need to increase your luck, activate Server Luck, use Merlin VI (costs 5,000 in-game cash), or join a server with an ongoing Aurora Borealis event.
With all the conditions in place, cast your line in the lava pond. You’ll know the Magma Leviathan has bitten when a deep maroon exclamation mark appears. It has a -90 Progress Speed, so be prepared for a tough reel-in.
