Catching rare fish in Fisch is already a grind, but the Sea Leviathan takes that challenge to a whole new level. Locked behind the Second Sea and buried under layers of RNG, server resets, and strict spawn mechanics, this monster is one of the hardest entries to complete in your Bestiary.

It spawns rarely, can only be caught by one player per instance, and demands top-tier gear and bait. Still, with the right setup and a bit of persistence, it’s very doable.

Getting Sea Leviathan in Second Sea Fisch

First, defeat Cthulhu to unlock the Second Sea. This boss battle is non-negotiable; skip it and the Leviathan remains locked away. Once you’re there, open your Fish Radar immediately. Scan for a massive red zone labeled “Abundance Zone”. This marks the Sea Leviathan’s territory. Unlike common fish, it rarely spawns, so prepare to grind.

Next, stockpile Sundial Totems. These let you reset the in-game day, forcing the Leviathan’s spawn chance to roll repeatedly. Without them, you’ll waste hours waiting for RNG to favor you. Once the Abundance Zone appears, drop your line and hurry. Only one player can catch the Leviathan per spawn, and the zone vanishes after a successful catch.

Now, equip the Ethereal Prism Rod. Its 195% Luck stat directly counters the Leviathan’s brutal -90% Progress Speed penalty, while its 40% Resilience stabilizes the catch bar during the fish’s frantic movements. Pair this rod with Shark Head Bait – the only lure this monster acknowledges. Alternatives like Seaweed or Weird Algae technically work but slash your success rate by half.

Then, exploit server mechanics. Jump between public servers until you find one with an active Aurora Borealis event for a +20% Luck boost. Better yet, use a private server to control the time of day and spawn the Leviathan uncontested.

Finally, reel it in. The progress bar will swing wildly, so stay calm, keep tension steady, and avoid rapid clicks. Patience is key here. Once it is caught, your Bestiary updates instantly, logging the Leviathan’s stats and cementing your status as a top-tier angler.
