With Fisch’s latest Animal Fish update taking over the seas (and the memes), we’ve been introduced to a brand-new lineup of creatures that are funny-looking. Imagine an animal’s head on a fish’s body — yep, that’s exactly what you’re going to fish for now. As strange as they look, they’re also limited-time catches that you need for the updated Second Sea Animal Bestiary.

This guide will walk you through everything — where to go, what rods and baits to use, and how to catch every new fish in Sea 2. Let’s get into it!

How To Unlock the Second Sea in Fisch

Before you go fishing in the Second Sea, you’ll need to meet some requirements:

• Be Level 250+ (you can’t enter Sea 2 below this level).
• Defeat the Cthulhu Boss at Terrapin Island and once you beat it, you’ll unlock the portal to the Second Sea.
• Talk to the Sea Traveler NPC. If you’ve already unlocked Sea 2, you can instantly travel there using this NPC.

Where To Find Animal Pools in Sea 2

Once you’re in the Second Sea, head to Lushgrove Island using these coordinates: XYZ = 1133, 105, -560 and keep an eye on the screen for the pop-up “An Animal Pool has spawned near the area.” That’s your cue! Look around for a giant yellow/orange beam of light shooting into the sky — that’s where the event is happening.

These events are limited-time, so once the message appears, you’ll need to act fast.

Best Rods for Sea 2

The fish in this bestiary aren’t too aggressive, so you don’t need the fanciest gear. Use, Free Spirit Rod, Azure of Lagoon Rod, Ethereal Prism Rod (from Sea 1), Abyssal Specter Rod

Even Sea 1 rods work fine—their slight stat nerf doesn’t matter much here.

Best Baits for Sea 2

You’ll need different baits for different fish, but some are more universal than others.

Top baits to bring are seaweed, best all-rounder, Bagels, Flakes, Crystal Bananas, Shrimp, and Minnows.

Best Enchantments

Enchanting your rod will give you an edge, especially for faster catches:

• Hasty – For Sea 2 rods (faster lure speed)
