You might be very familiar with fighting-specific controllers from Nacon, Mad Catz, and 8BitDo. Now, Sony has joined the battle, but with a wireless flavor. It’s not that you cannot play with the existing PS5 controller, but using this will give you a low-latency advantage, mainly in upcoming games like Marvel Tokok: Fighting Souls and similar ones.
That said, Sony’s entry into the fight stick market is a great move, as the competition just got even more exciting. In many countries, brands such as Nacon, Mad Catz, and even 8BitDo are not widely available to people. With Sony and its substantial market base, hopefully, this changes.
FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick: Release Date and Availability
The FlexStrike is set to launch at some point in 2026. Sony hasn’t provided a specific release window. As for compatibility, the controller will work with both the PlayStation 5 and PC over USB-C and wireless connectivity. Regarding availability, Sony hasn’t provided any information.
Pricing Information
Again, Sony has not yet revealed the FlexStrike’s pricing information. As per industry speculation, the projected retail price point could range between $250 and $299.
