The Star Wars Celebration event announced a new collaboration between Star Wars and Fortnite titled ‘Galactic Battle’.
The Star Wars saga is arriving to Fortnite for the new Battle Royale season. This five-part event has been named the ‘Galactic Battle’. This crossover will feature various Star Wars-themed events.
The event will begin on May 2nd, 2025 (just shy of Star Wars Day), with new content being added in parts. The event was announced on the third day of the Star Wars Celebration Japan event. Here is everything we know:
Fortnite x Star Wars Galactic Battle: Additions and More
Various Star Wars characters will be making an appearance in the Fortnite universe. As evident from the thumbnail of the video above, one of these includes Jar Jar Binks. However, this Darth variant of him has been a long running gag within the Star Wars community.
Seeing him come to life after all this time will be a treat to any Star Wars fan. The trailer also showed major and minor Star Wars characters, ranging from Luke Skywalker to Kelleran Beq.
More additions include:
- A Star Wars-themed Battle Pass
- Item-shop offerings, including Mace Windu
- Controllable X-wings and TIE fighters
- Themed map locations
We also saw many skins in the trailer which include characters like Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu, Wookie Cuddle Leader and also a Mandalorian themed skin. It is unclear at the moment how you will obtain these skins.

Fortnite Galactic Battle Roadmap
Unfortunately, you will not be able to play the entire event in one day. You can take part in more events as days pass. This will ensure that players don’t get bored with all the content quickly. Here is the upcoming content roadmap for this event:
- May 2, 2025 – Imperial Takeover
- May 8, 2025 – The Pull of the Force
- May 22, 2025 – Mandalorian Rising
- May 29, 2025 – Star Destroyer Bombardment
- June 7, 2025 – Death Star Sabotage
