Here is a list of all the confirmed major game demos you can check out and play at the upcoming Gamescom 2026 event in Germany.
Gamescom 2025 is looking to be one of the biggest gaming events this year. Major publishers like Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, and many more will feature their recent and upcoming titles. Some of these games will even have a playable demo, giving you the chance to experience them before anyone else. Needless to say, a lot of surprising reveals are expected to happen at this event.
With that said, let’s take a look at some confirmed major games that will feature a playable demo at Gamescom 2025.
Confirmed Major Game Demos on Gamescom 2025
Nintendo Switch 2 Booth Highlights
Nintendo will feature a lineup of highly anticipated first-party title demos on the new Switch 2:

- Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
- Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Pokémon Legends: Z‑A
- Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
- Mario Kart World
- Super Mario Party Jamboree
- Borderlands 4
- Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition
- Hades II
Xbox Booth Highlights
As for the Xbox booth, there are also some standout games that will have a playable demo:
- Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Borderlands 4
- EA FC 26
- Cronos: The New Dawn
- Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater
- Grounded 2
- Ninja Gaiden 4
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
- Age of Empires

The Outer Worlds 2 will also be featured in the Xbox booth at Gamescom 2025. However, it will only have a theatrical showcase, meaning there will be no playable demo for the game.
Other Major Demos
Capcom, another major AAA game developer and publisher, also has some playable demos for its upcoming games. Notable standouts include Resident Evil: Requiem, Pragmata, and Onimusha Way of the Sword.
Bandai Namco will also showcase some playable demos for their games, including The Blood of Dawnwalker, Little Nightmares III, and Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree.
When is Gamescom 2025?
Gamescom 2025 will run from August 20 to August 24, 2025, in Cologne, Germany, at the Koelnmesse exhibition center. The event will begin with an invite-only Opening Night Live showcase on August 20, when some of the biggest announcements, world premieres, and surprise reveals are likely to set the tone for the remainder of the week.
Starting August 21, the public will gain access to the show floor, where they will be able to test demos, meet developers, and see the future of gaming firsthand. Physical and online livestream viewing will be available for global audiences.
