These are the best overall settings for Gears of War Reloaded, ready to be dialed in on your Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED.
Gears of War Reloaded runs very well on the Steam Deck. At default settings, you can expect performance to reach around 80 FPS, but during combat, it may stutter and drop to 40–45. The overall experience with default settings is playable, but it can be further tuned to achieve either a solid 60 FPS lock or a 40–45 FPS lock, depending on your tonal and frame rate preference. Gears of War Reloaded – Best Settings for Steam Deck (60 FPS Lock)
The 60 FPS lock option is the highest performance choice available. FSR 3.1 upscaler is used here, along with the balanced profile. Due to the high PPI screen on the Steam Deck, shimmering and blurriness are not very noticeable. However, if you are using the OLED Steam Deck, you can reduce the resolution scaling to Performance and increase Ambient Occlusion to Quality, allowing you to enjoy the higher-resolution display.
