Everything you need to know about Ghost of Yotei’s pre-order details, including the schedule, editions, pre-order bonuses, prices, and more.

Ghost of Yotei, the highly anticipated follow up to Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima, finally has a confirmed release date. The release date announcement came out of the blue with PlayStation “shadow-dropping” a new trailer, giving players a glimpse at the game’s story as well as new gameplay features.
While not a direct sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei is a story set in the same universe, taking inspiration from the real history of 16th-century (Ezo period) Japan. Similar to its predecessor, Ghost of Yotei focuses on melee combat, with some ranged options thrown into the mix. The new trailer also showcased improved traversal mechanics as well as, presumably, the primary antagonists of the story.
Alongside the gameplay trailer, PlayStation also released details on the game’s pre-orders and pricing. Here’s everything you need to know about Ghost of Yotei’s pre-order, editions, prices, and more.
When Can You Pre-Order Ghost of Yotei?

Ghost of Yotei is scheduled to be released on October 2, 2025, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. The pre-orders, on the other hand, will go live on May 2, 2025, on PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct (Physical). The Collector’s Edition of the game is also going to go live for pre-order on the same day.
However, the availability of the Collector’s Edition is limited. Essentially, the Collector’s Edition is only available in regions with support for PlayStation Direct. You can check all the PlayStation Direct-supported regions on PlayStation’s official website. Additionally, pre-ordering the game also grants you access to a few bonuses, including PSN avatars.
Ghost of Yotei Editions and Prices

Much like the previous PlayStation first-party titles, Ghost of Yotei is priced at $70. The game is offered in two different editions — Standard and Deluxe. The Standard Edition includes the base game as well as the pre-order bonus. Whereas the Deluxe Edition comes with a few in-game goodies, on top of the Standard Edition content.
Surprisingly enough, there is no early access incentive for pre-ordering the Standard or the Deluxe Editions. Regardless of whichever version you pre-order, you will be able to access the game on its scheduled release date. That said, here’s a breakdown of the game’s different editions as well as their contents:
Standard Edition ($69.99)
- Base game
- Pre-order bonus
Deluxe Edition ($79.99)
- Base game
- Pre-order bonus
- Snake’s armor set
- Alternate dye for the starting armor
- Exclusive horse color
- Saddle dye
- In-game Charm
- Gold Sword Kit
- Early unlock of Traveler’s Maps
The pre-order bonus includes exclusive PSN avatars (for your PlayStation profile) and an in-game mask for Atsu.
