Learning about the best early-game weapons can improve your survivability in Grounded 2. Here’s a list of the top five Tier-1 weapons.

Grounded 2 early access is out, and players can jump into the game to explore the early stages of Brookhollow Park. However, the park is infested with deadly creatures that can be hard to defeat with the wrong weapon.
During the early game, you won’t have many choices in weaponry, but some perform better than others. To help you out, here are the five best early-game weapons you can use in Grounded 2.

Here’s a list of the top five best Tier-1 weapons:
1. Pebblet Spear

The Pebblet Spear is the first weapon you get to build, even before you correctly enter the park after the tutorial. It is a simple one-handed weapon with low damage and high attack speed. However, the spear is at the top of the list due to the simple crafting recipe, which is 2 Sprigs, 1 Crude Rope, and 1 Pebblet.
You can mass-produce Pebblet Spears and throw them at enemies from a distance to deal much higher damage compared to melee hits. With enough spears, you can take down some harder Tier-2 enemies and use their materials to make better weapons.
2. Crimson Saber

The Crimson Saber is yet another one-handed weapon, but you must use it with a shield of any kind. You unlock this weapon by analyzing Red Ant Mandibles at a research station. The saber deals low amounts of Slashing damage with low quantities of Crit Chance that can occasionally come in handy. If you are choosing to use the Fighter class, this is a perfect choice till you get your hands on the Red Ant Club.
3. Mitey Claws

The Mitey Claws is a dual-wielding set of claws, a new category of weapons in the Grounded franchise. This is the first weapon you make that serves as an introduction to the Rogue class. The base damage of the Mitey Claws is relatively low, but every final hit of the 3-hit combo increases the chance of critical attacks. This means your primary source of damage is through inflicting critical hits on enemies.
Note that this is the first weapon in the dual-wielding line, which means the critical chance is not as high as in the higher-tier varieties.
4. Warhammerlet

If you are a fan of slow yet hard-hitting weapons, the Warhammerlet is the perfect choice. It deals quite a lot of damage despite being a Tier-1 weapon and has a high stun stat. Despite being a good starting weapon, the reason for this being in fourth is that the Tier-2 variant of this weapon, which is the Red Ant Club, is easy to craft and is one of the best Tier-2 weapons in the entire game. If you are using the Warhammerlet, its sole purpose is to help you get accustomed to the slow two-handed weapon moveset.
5. Sprig Bow

In the final place comes the Sprig Bow, the starting weapon of the Ranger class. The reason this weapon is last is due to its low damage potential compared to all the other weapons in this list. During the early game, you won’t have access to some of the best arrows you can currently make, which lowers your damage capability by a lot.
The Ranger class’s main strength lies in its ability to use different arrows depending on the situation, exploiting enemy weaknesses. However, that is not possible when you can only make two types of arrows during the early game.
