1) Explore Red Anthills

The first thing you will want to do is explore these areas. Other Red Ants will treat you as part of their colony as long as you remain on top of your Buggy. This makes traversing previously hostile regions much easier. However, you should know that this protection only remains active until you are on the mount.

As soon as you disembark, get ready for the hostile behavior to return.

2) Build Ant Nests

You will want to build an Ant Nest upon acquiring a Buggy. These Nests let you store your mounts and recall them whenever you want. This is extremely useful. On top of this, if your Buggy happens to deplete all its health, then it will heal at these Nests and return to your side.

Typically, it will take around four minutes for it to fully heal.

3) Easier Transportation

One of the core parts of using a Buggy is transport. Not only is this creature faster than you, but it can sprint to cover even larger distances in a shorter period. You should also be familiar with the extra inventory space this mount will have. This mount has a total of 30 extra slots, which you can use to store resources when out scavenging, or to simply transport items from one place to another.

Moreover, you can now travel quickly between locations, but you should still consider going to the different Ranger Outposts to unlock Fast Travel points.

4) Combat and Gathering Use

The combat while you ride atop a Buggy is also significantly different. You can use your ride to attack and kill weaker and smaller creatures quite easily. You can also block and parry, similar to how you would in usual combat.

On the other hand, the Buggy also has a Gather Mode, which allows you to point and move over an area to acquire all the materials in that place. This is quite helpful when you want to keep moving while collecting resources.

5. Scarlet Aegis

This Unique Shield has a special effect to heal any of your Bugs. You can likely put things together and realize that having this shield equipped will let you and your companion survive encounters quite easily.

There are other good shields you might want to craft as well. You can find all the shields in Grounded 2 ranked here. That was everything to know about things you can do after getting the Red Ant Buggy in Grounded 2.
