However, not all of these Shields will be equally viable. Some of these will naturally perform better than the others. So, here are all the Shields ranked in Grounded 2.

1. Scarlet Aegis

Parry Buggie Heal: Perfect blocks heal buggies near you.
This is a Heavy and Unique shield. It earns its spot at the top of this list for two reasons. Firstly, it has the same Block Strength as the Ladyguard. However, the more important part comes from its secondary effect. The Parry Buggie Heal effect (mentioned above) heals any buggies nearby whenever you successfully pull of a perfect block.
Although this is not as easy to pull off as a regular block, the effect is well worth it. This effect can also certainly be useful when playing with teammates.

2. Ladyguard

This shield is perfect if you just want a shield that is great at blocking. It has the max Block Strength stat in the game, which means that it can nullify any damage it blocks. What puts this shield over the other options is the ease of obtaining it.
Unlike most other shields, you do not need to scavenge around for rare materials to obtain this one. This shield has high durability as well, which makes it ideal for boss battles.

Aggressively Perfect Block: Perfect blocks deal damage and stun to attackers.
This is a light shield, which means it has less damage blocking compared to other options on the list. However, to make up for it, it does higher stun damage on a perfect block. This is a great shield for an aggressive playing style, emphasized by its mod name, Aggressively Perfect Block.
This mod deals extra damage to enemies whenever you perform a perfect block against their attacks. This will be great for moving and hitting fast, while landing blocks to deal more damage.

Spicy Parry: Perfect blocks deal spicy damage and sizzle to attackers.
This shield can be quite difficult to obtain, especially early on. You will need to defeat Bombardier Beetles to obtain the parts necessary for this piece of equipment. You will find that this was well worth the wait.
Spicy Parry deals extra spicy damage upon a perfect block. On top of this, it also causes sizzle buildup on the target. This will be a good option for a shield with both defensive and offensive capabilities.

5. Weevil Shield

This is likely the first shield you will obtain in Grounded 2. For that reason, this is also the worst option. The only thing this shield has going for it is the ease of obtaining it. Due to how early you get this shield, it falls flat in the mid to later stages of the game.
You will only want to use this shield when there are no other options available. Those were all the shields ranked in Grounded 2.
