In this guide, we’ll explore how you can break cracked rocks in Grounded 2 to get inside hidden caves and find valuable items.
As you explore the world of Grounded 2, you find several interesting locations. Exploring these will give you access to a host of valuable resources, materials, and items. However, you won’t be able to get inside some of these places from the get-go. For example, while exploring Brookhollow Park, you might come across cave entrances blocked by cracked rocks.
At first glance, these seem impenetrable, but that’s not true. However, you cannot break through the rocks using traditional weapons. Instead, you’ll need to use explosives. In the following guide, we’ll explain how you can break cracked rocks in Grounded 2, and how you can craft explosives to do so.
How To Break Cracked Rocks in Grounded 2
Your weapons can’t damage or break the cracked rocks. The only way to destroy them is through the use of explosives. One of the first explosives you get in the game is the Bratburst Bomb. You can also craft it using the workbench. The following are the materials you need to make a Bratburst Bomb.
- 4x mite fang
- 2x spicy shard
- 3x dry grass chunks
- 1x red ant egg
Once you have all of these items, simply visit the workbench and choose the Bratburst Bomb from there to craft it. Armed with one of these explosives, you can now destroy the cracked rocks and get inside.

How To Find the Bratburst Bomb Crafting Materials
Now that you know the crafting recipe for the explosive and how to use it to get through cracked rocks in Grounded 2, let’s understand how to gather the materials for the bomb.
- You can get the red ant egg by exploring through any of the anthills. These aren’t rare, and you shouldn’t have too much difficulty finding them.
- To get the spicy shard, you have to break open chili candies using the Omni-Hammer. You can find the candies near the Picnic Table zone.
- You have to eliminate a few lawn mites if you want to get a few mite fangs.
- Lastly, you can get your hands on the dry grass chunks quite easily by exploring the different zones.
