How To Obtain Roach Chunk in Grounded 2

Roach Chunks are dropped by Cockroaches and Cockroach Nymphs, which usually spawn around wet, dark areas. You can find Cockroaches near the trash area in the Entrance and around the wooden table in the Snackbar Front. Along with the Cockroaches, you will likely encounter Cockroach Nymphs.
Defeating these bugs and harvesting their remains provides Roach Chunks. Remember, Cockroaches have a unique tendency to return to life in a headless state after their HP is completely depleted. As they lose their head, they become unpredictable and more aggressive during this phase. Additionally, you can also obtain Roach Chunks by defeating the Cockroach Queen.

Once you have acquired a Roach Chunk, analyzing the material at the Resource Analyzer unlocks the Roach Chestplate, Roach Greaves, and Stuffed Cockroach. Defeating Cockroaches also drops a Roach Head, which unlocks the Roach Helmet when analyzed.
This allows you to craft the full Roach Armor Set (Roach Helmet, Roach Chestplate, and Roach Greaves). It is one of the best armor sets in the game, offering resistance to Venom, Chill, and Sizzle, while also allowing you to recover health by looting corpses. Roach Chunk is also used to craft the Roach Club, a powerful one-handed weapon. In addition, it serves as a key ingredient in crafting Gastro Goo, a Smoothie that grants protection against toxic gas.
