Surviving the treacherous world of Grounded 2 requires players to follow various strategies and methods. Among them, managing your thirst is one of the important things. While dirty water can be found easily, storing clean water is crucial for maintaining hydration. Canteen is one of the valuable items that greatly improves your water management during the early game. It allows you to carry water and drink on the go. This guide explains how you can obtain and use the Canteen in Grounded 2.

How To Obtain Canteen in Grounded 2
Before making a Canteen, you must first unlock its recipe, which requires you to gather Grub Hide. You can obtain Grub Hides by slaying Grubs. However, finding a Grub requires an Omni-Shovel. While you navigate through sandy trench areas, you will come across tremors underneath the land. Digging up the spots with the Omni-Shovel causes the Grubs to emerge. Eliminating the Grubs drops Grub Hide along with other resources like Grub Sludge.
Analyze the Grub Hide at the Resource Analyzer at any outpost, which unlocks the Canteen recipe. Once you have unlocked the recipe, craft a Canteen at the Workbench using 3x Grub Hide and 2x Crude Rope. You can craft Crude Rope using Plant Fibers.
How To Use Canteen in Grounded 2
The Canteen is a valuable consumable in Grounded 2, allowing you to carry two drops of any liquid. To use the Canteen, you must equip it in your inventory by opening your backpack. While equipping the Canteen in your hand, interact with Dew Drops to scoop up to two drops of clean water. Dew Drops are commonly found hanging on the tall grass blades. Cutting the grass makes the Dew Drops fall on the ground. Additionally, you can also use Canteen to fill water from Water Coolers at the Ominent facilities.
You can either drink the collected water directly from the Canteen or deposit it into the Water Container for future use.
