Smoothies are an excellent way to temporarily gain buffs and special resistances. They allow you to navigate through regions with extreme temperature conditions. While the Mintito counters Sizzle buildup, Blazin Brew increases your resistance against Chill damage. Another major environmental hazard is the toxic gas clouds. Fortunately, you can negate their effect with a specific Smoothie called Gastro Goo. It provides full protection against toxic gases, making it one of the best Smoothies in the game. Here is how you can unlock, craft, and use the Gastro Goo in Grounded 2.

How To Unlock Gastro Goo in Grounded 2
You must first unlock the Gastro Goo recipe before crafting it at the Smoothie Station. To unlock the recipe, you need to analyze the Stinkbug Gas Sack at the Resource Analyzer. This also unlocks recipes for Gas Arrow and Gas Mask, which serve as the best way to deal with toxic gases. Stinkbug Gas Sack is harvested from the remains of Stinkbugs. You can find Stinkbug at the Entrance, especially near the O.R.C. Transmitter. Other notable spots to encounter Stinkbugs include the southern regions of Ceremony and Ice Cream Cart.
How To Use Gastro Goo in Grounded 2
In addition to Stinkbug Gas Sack, you will also require two more resources: Roach Chunk and Aphid Honeydew. Roach Chunks are obtained by slaying large Cockroaches, which are usually found underneath the wooden table at the Snackbar Front. Whereas, Aphid Honeydews are dropped from Aphids, found on the ground near the surroundings of the Snackbar Front.
Once you gather Stinkbug Gas Sack (1x), Roach Chunk (1x), and Aphid Honeydew (1x), head to the Smoothie Station and craft the Gastro Goo.
When consumed, the Gastro Goo grants the Gas Guard effect, which protects you from all gas-based attacks and effects. Additionally, it heals you instantly, restoring a specific portion of your health.
