Obtaining the resource can be tricky unless you know the right strategy.

While exploring the different regions of Brookhollow Park, you may come across Grubs often. However, they are easy to miss out on because of their unique nature. If you are struggling to spot Grubs and collect Grub Hides in Grounded 2, this guide explains everything you need to know.

Grubs are easily one of the most overlooked insects in Grounded 2, as they don’t appear on the surface. Instead, they burrow underground. While exploring the trenches, you will notice small moving mud clumps with faint noise. It indicates Grubs burrowing through the soil. To dig them up, you need an Omni-Shovel, which can be crafted at the Ranger Station using 350 Raw Science, 1x Grass Seed, and 2x Sprigs.

Approach the moving dirt piles and use your Omni-Shovel to dig Grubs out of the ground. You can find a lot of Grubs near the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar.

Remember, while looking for Grubs, you will also dig out Larvae from underground. If you hear a heavy rumbling sound and a different burrowing moving pattern, it is likely a Larva. Larvae are entirely hostile and start attacking you once you unearth them.

How To Get and Use Grub Hide in Grounded 2

Unlike Larvae, Grubs are not hostile, and you can defeat them easily. After you dig out a Grub, defeat it, and harvest its remains to acquire Grub Hide. Additionally, you will also receive other resources like Grub Sludge and Raw Grub Meat. If you did not attack a Grub for too long after digging it up, it will burrow back underground.

Grub Hides can be used in various early game resources like Weevil Shield, Canteen, Grub Leggings, Grub Vest, Crimson Saber, Mitey Muffs, and Sturdy Shell.
