The Spicy Coaltana is an iconic weapon that has made its way into Grounded 2. Here’s how to craft this weapon and make it yours.
The Spicy Coaltana has made a return in Grounded 2, but this time, you have to craft it yourself instead of fighting waves of bugs. This iconic weapon was first introduced in the series during the Upper Yard update, which added the grill area in Grounded 1. However, the weapon has now appeared in Grounded 2, and players can’t wait to get their hands on this flaming blade.
To help you out, here’s how you can get the Spicy Coaltana in Grounded 2.

Spicy Coaltana Recipe in Grounded 2
To craft the Spicy Coaltana, you first need to obtain the recipe. To get it, continue completing the main objectives until you defeat the final boss of the first act. After defeating the boss, enter the room at the back of the arena and walk toward the desk to pick up the Charred Recipe and Sizzling Key.
Crafting Spicy Coaltana in Grounded 2
Once you have the recipe, collect the following items to craft the Spicy Coaltana:
- 2x Spicy Glob
- 5x EverChar Coal Chunk
- 4x Wolf Spider Chunk
Here’s how to collect each of these items:
- Spicy Glob: Found in a chest in the Pine Hills zone. Follow the spider nest behind the Pine Hill Ranger Outpost and continue along the webs. Stay to the left side of the plateau until you reach a nook in the roots. The buried chest is under a leaf with a firework on top. Dig it up and use the Sizzling Key to get the Spicy Globs.
- EverChar Coal Chunk: Easily mined in the Fire Pit zone, located on the northern side of the map. Note that you’ll need some form of Sizzling protection to mine the coal chunks safely.
- Wolf Spider Chunks: You get these by killing Wolf Spiders. Two of them spawn near the center of the map and roam randomly, hunting other bugs. You may need to search the area to find them.
Once you have all the items, head to a Workbench to craft the Spicy Coaltana.

Spicy Coaltana Stats in Grounded 2
The Spicy Coaltana is a Tier-3 slashing weapon that deals high damage and has strong stun stats. Additionally, the Sizzling Attack mod can ignite enemies, causing damage over time. Here are the base-level stats for the Spicy Coaltana:
- Damage: 2.5
- Stun: 4.4
- Speed: 0.3
- Critical: 1
