In this guide, we go over how you can kill Snails in Grounded 2 and some of the locations where you can find them.

Snails are among the many creatures that you’ll run into during your time in Grounded 2. These slow-moving creatures drop a wide range of useful resources when you take them down. You’ll need as many of these materials as you can, especially when starting out. So, whether you want to or not, it’s a good idea to fight and kill any Snails you spot on your way. And you’ll find them pretty early on, right after getting through the tutorial section, in fact.
In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can fight and kill Snails in Grounded 2 and some of the areas where you can find these creatures.
Killing Snails in Grounded 2

Since you’re playing as a shrunken-down version of a human being, the Snails in the game can seem pretty imposing at first. Fortunately for you, Snails aren’t nearly as dangerous as they might appear. Their lethargic movements make them easy to target and take down. They are docile when you approach them, unlike many of the other creatures in the game.
You should take advantage of this and unleash a sneaky attack on one to deal high amounts of critical damage. After that initial attack, you’ll want to end the fight as quickly as possible. Otherwise, the Snail might take refuge inside its protective shell.
We suggest using a blunt weapon to attack its exposed head. This should leave the creature stunned momentarily, giving you enough time to unleash a few more blows. If, even after your attacks, the Snail manages to retreat inside its shell, all you need to do is wait for it to pop back out. Don’t worry, Snails don’t heal themselves in this state either.
It’s one of the easier battles, especially since the Snail won’t fight back. Once it’s dead, you can loot its corpse. The goo inside the shell will give you some valuable crafting resources. You can also harvest its shell, but for that, you’ll need an upgraded hammer. You likely won’t have this during the early hours of the game.

Where To Find Snails in Grounded 2?
Even though fighting the Snail is simple, finding one can be tricky. These creatures can appear almost anywhere, although they prefer to chomp on fancy vegetation. So, you can head to the Statue location, where there’s a large number of shrubs. Otherwise, you can also get to a vantage point and try to spot any slow movements in grasses or shrubs. These generally indicate the presence of a Snail. However, you might need to spend some time looking for them, as they don’t seem to appear in large numbers.
