The Dew Collector is one of the most important tools you need to have in Grounded 2. It lets you collect small water droplets to satisfy your thirst levels. The best part is that you don’t need to monitor it every time just to harvest resources. The Dew Collector can passively collect dewdrops while you are doing other activities. You can then use your canteen to store these dewdrops when needed.

With that said, here is how you can set up a Dew Collector in Grounded 2. This includes the necessary materials to craft one and how you can unlock the blueprint.

To unlock the Dew Collector blueprint, you must purchase the recipe from the Science Shop. Once you have the recipe, you can start building it with the required materials.

Here is a quick rundown of the recipe:

  • Crude Rope x5
  • Weed Stem x6
  • Silk Rope x5
  • Pebblet x8

Pebblets and Weed Stems are very common in the open world. You can acquire some Silk Rope by inserting Web Fiber into the Spinning Wheel. On the other hand, Plant Fiber can be crafted into Crude Rope. Once you have the materials, construct your Dew Collector.

Once done, leave it for a while and do other in-game activities. Dewdrops should accumulate over time so that you can start collecting. You can also try sleeping to pass the time. However, with so much to do in the game, you’ll likely find other ways to stay busy.

How To Use Dew Collector in Grounded 2

You can scoop the dewdrops that appear in your Dew Collector using your canteen. Keep in mind that only four dewdrops can spawn. Once the limit is reached, you need to collect them before more can spawn.

Since your canteen can only scoop up two dewdrops, it’s best to collect as much as you can, especially on long trips. Now that you have the Dew Collector, you should have no problems with dehydration. You can focus more on other survival aspects, like building a shelter and securing a food supply.
