Grounded 2 currently features two melee archetypes: the Fighter and Rogue classes. Each offers weapons that can deal high damage while debuffing enemies. In addition to these, there are a few unique or secret weapons that you can find around the map. However, it is best to carry only a few weapons at a time to save up inventory space and deal with enemies quickly.

To help you out, here are the top five melee weapons you can use in Grounded 2.

Top 5 Melee Weapons in Grounded 2

Here are the top five melee weapons you can use in Grounded 2, starting from the best weapons in the game:

Ice Sickles

Currently, any type of dual-wielding weapon is best when paired with Rogue armor. However, these unique sickles are the best weapons in the game right now. Not only does it do fresh damage, but it can also freeze enemies by applying Chill on them. Additionally, most Tier-3 enemies have Fresh weakness, which, when combined with good mutations, shreds enemies with the 3-hit combo.

Note that you must complete a challenging wave defense mode in the Ice Cream Cart zone to get this weapon. Additionally, it is the best weapon to level up at the anvil the moment you get your hands on it.

Pinch Whacker

The Pinch Whacker is a returning weapon from Grounded 1 and still retains the amazing damage output due to the unique AoE attack. The final hit of the 3-hit combo from this weapon releases a large shockwave that deals damage to any nearby enemies, making this perfect for raids and wave modes. If you come across any O.R.C. enemies, which are stronger versions of regular bugs, the Pinch Whacker is the best option to take them down.

You can find this weapon behind a sealed cave, which is located on the northern side of the map.

Wolfsbane Fangs

This weapon is similar to Ice Sickles, but requires crafting using Wolf Spider parts. Rogue weapons are currently overpowered, capable of dealing significant damage in quick bursts. These poisonous daggers allow for safe hit-and-run strategies, as you can run away after applying Poison on enemies. Poisoned enemies take damage over time and lose a portion of their health.

Keep in mind that you need to kill quite a few Wolf Spiders to craft these at a Workbench, so it’s always a smart idea to make some Scorpidotes.

Mosquito Needle

The Mosquito Needle is a one-handed rapier that deals low damage but high-speed thrust attacks. The damage output of this weapon is moderate, but the reason this is in the top five is due to the unique effect. Attacks made from this weapon have Lifesteal, which means a portion of the damage dealt is converted to self-heal.

High-tier enemies in Brookhollow Park tend to always have high amounts of health. Therefore, the Mosquito Needle excels when it comes to surviving longer fights, where high DPS alone won’t be enough.

Roach Club

If you move out of the starting area, you can find nearly every section of the map littered with Scorpions. These insects can be annoying to deal with because of their constant presence. However, the Roach Club can easily solve this problem. With a high amount of stun and smashing damage, you can easily take out multiple scorpions on your own.

If you are going for the Ice Sickles, the Roach Club is the recommended weapon to take with you due to the multiple waves of Scorpions you have to defeat to get the best weapon in the game.

This concludes our guide on the top five melee weapons you can get in Grounded 2.
