The Cleaning Spray is one of the most expensive and specialized items in Grow a Garden that got added in the recent working bee update. It might sound odd to remove mutations from your crops, but this Divine-tier gear plays a key role in advanced crafting. Whether you’re trying to reset a crop or craft mutation sprays, here’s everything you need to know about getting and using the Cleaning Spray.

Getting the Cleaning Spray is easy in terms of steps but not cheap:

  1. Go to the Gear Shop and talk to the NPC named Eloise
  2. Scroll down her list of items until you find Cleaning Spray
  3. Buy it for 15 million Sheckles or 139 Robux

Even though it’s a Divine rarity item, it usually stays in stock. If it’s sold out, check back after a little while or grab it with Robux if you don’t want to wait.

Each Cleaning Spray comes with 10 uses, so every spray costs about 1.5 million Sheckles. Moreover, keep in mind that it does not remove Gold or Rainbow mutations, only the standard ones.

What Does Cleaning Spray Do?

The Cleaning Spray removes existing mutations from any crop you apply it to. This might seem like a waste, especially if you’ve got a valuable mutation, but it’s essential for:

  • Resetting crops you want to mutate differently
  • Preparing crops for mutation spray applications
  • Crafting Mutation Sprays (more on that below)

Why Is Cleaning Spray Important?

The biggest reason players buy the Cleaning Spray is to craft Mutation Sprays, which allow you to add specific mutations instantly, without relying on weather or bee swarms.

Here are the mutation sprays that require Cleaning Spray to craft:

Each of these is crafted using 1 Cleaning Spray, some crop ingredients, and a set amount of Honey.

So while the Cleaning Spray might not seem valuable by itself, it’s required to unlock more powerful tools that let you control your garden mutations.

Is Cleaning Spray Worth It?

Yes, but only if you’re crafting mutation sprays. Here’s a quick breakdown:

Worth It If:

  • You want to craft Pollinated, Choc, or Shocked mutation sprays.
  • You’re experimenting with different crop builds and need to reset mutations.
  • You have plenty of Sheckles and want to unlock mutation control tools.

Not Worth It If:

  • You’re a new or casual player with limited funds
  • You don’t plan on crafting mutation sprays
  • You’re using it to clear random mutations without any plan

The Cleaning Spray is not a farming essential, but it’s a core ingredient for late-game strategy. If you aim to create mutation sprays and build high-profit crops, it’s worth saving up for. Otherwise, you can safely skip it and stick with more affordable tools until ready.
