Grow a Garden has seen a brand new update. The Blood Moon Event, a limited-time nighttime event, was launched on May 17, 2025. The event has seen some new additions and features, such as crops having an increased chance of gaining the Bloodlit mutation. Another exciting addition to the game was the Blood Moon pets. The event sees 9 new pets get inducted into the game.
Each of these pets has unique abilities and brings something different. The game requires you to feed them, which enhances their performance and provides buffs to help with farming, mutations, or other gameplay benefits. This article will guide you on how to feed the Grow a Garden pets.
Roblox Grow a Garden Pets: How To Feed Them
It’s very easy to feed pets in the game. You want to get up close and personal with one of your pets. Two options will appear on your screen, one of which says “Feed.” The list of fruits that you might be able to feed it will appear when you click on this window, which will open your crop inventory. From here you can simply click on the fruit or crop you wish to feed it.
Another way to feed your pet is by first picking up a fruit or crop. Once you have it equipped in your hands, approach your pet. A prompt to feed it will appear. Simply press “E” to feed your pet. But be sure to follow it while doing so, as it may not stay in one place.
You actively choose the amount and type of fruit to feed your pet, directly satisfying its hunger – rarer plants naturally restore more.
What Are the New Grow a Garden Pets?
The Blood Moon Event added nine new pets with unique abilities to enhance farming and mutation mechanics. Here are the new pets:
- Chicken Zombie (Chicken Jockey)
- Blood Owl
- Blood Hedgehog
- Blood Kiwi
- Brown Mouse
- Grey Mouse
- Squirrel
- Red Giant Ant
- Red Fox
Note: The Chicken Zombie pet was only available for early players of the event.
