Expand your farm the right way. Unlock plot upgrades, avoid costly mistakes, and get the most out of every Sheckle in Grow a Garden.

Grow a Garden just handed every green thumb a bigger canvas. The Cosmetic update bolts a bright Expand Garden sign to your fence and lets you push those borders out on three sides for a steep pile of Sheckles.
First, the left and right walls slide back for 250 million each, then the rear fence yields two extra tiers if you are willing to wait or drop Robux. More soil means more rare crops, a tidy spot for the new statues, and fresh elbow room to keep the cash cycle rolling.
Expand Your Plot in Grow a Garden
The garden expansion feature in Grow a Garden arrived with the Cosmetic update and is unlocked for players who’ve already progressed deep into the game. This feature lets you increase your plot size on the left, right, and back, but not the front. It’s a straightforward process, but you’ll need to save up a ton of Sheckles first. Here’s how to do it step by step.

Steps to Expand Your Plot
- Launch Grow a Garden after the Cosmetic update.
- Walk up to the Expand Garden signboard located on the fence of your plot.
- Stand in front of the signboard, either on the left or right side, first.
- A prompt will appear showing the cost to expand that side.
- Press and hold the E key to confirm and purchase the expansion.
- After completing one side, the opposite side becomes available.
- Once both sides’ expansions are done, the back side unlocks.
- The back expansion comes in two tiers and includes cooldowns:
- Tier 1 (500 million Sheckles) has a 1-day cooldown, or you can skip it for 199 Robux.
- Tier 2 (1 billion Sheckles) has a 3-day cooldown, or you can skip it for 399 Robux.
You’ll need to buy each expansion in order. Side plots unlock instantly, but back expansions require patience, unless you’re willing to burn Robux just to skip timers. Even then, you must still pay the Sheckles.
The left and right expansions slightly increase your plot’s width, making more room for planting or placing cosmetics. The first back expansion adds a full plot, while the second back expansion adds only half despite costing double. That’s why it’s only worth pursuing if you’re all-in on design.
If you’re low on funds, hold off. It’s better to invest in seeds and start farming high-value crops first. Expansion only makes sense when your garden is packed and your wallet’s overflowing.
