According to a reputable leaker, there is a chance we’ll get to see a GTA 4 Remaster before the release of GTA 6.

As the community waits for the release of GTA 6, a new leak emerges hinting at a potential GTA 4 remaster set to arrive in 2025. This news came from one of the reputable sources of leaks for Rockstar Games titles.
GTA 4 is one of the franchise’s fan favorites due to its darker and more grounded story. On top of that, the game also featured lovable characters like Nico Bellic, the main protagonist, and his bowling-fanatic cousin Roman Bellic. With that said, a GTA 4 remaster would not only evoke nostalgia among longtime fans but also introduce a new generation of players to one of the series’ most iconic entries.

GTA 4 Remaster Speculated To Be Released in 2025, According to Leaker

According to Tez2, one of the reputable leakers in terms of Rockstar Games titles, shared information about a potential GTA 4 Remaster in the works. Through a discussion board in GTA Forums about the GTA 6 Trailer 2, the leaker revealed how a “port” might be arriving before the next Grand Theft Auto sequel.
“Someone at R* hinted at the IV port, and by now it should’ve gone up a year in development. We may end up seeing it drop later this year.”
He further elaborates in the post that Rockstar takes down the Liberty City Preservation Project, possibly because of the upcoming GTA 4 port. While they mentioned “port,” the question he is answering is about a potential remaster of the 17-year-old game.
Furthermore, Tez2 also shared some news regarding Rockstar Games’ other title, Max Payne. According to him, a potential port is also reportedly in the works for Max Payne 3 after GTA 4 Remaster gets released.
“And it’s one more reason, in addition to existing reasons, the LCPP mod was taken down. If they still follow their plan laid out from the pandemic days, they’ll do an MP3 port after IV. So that is an opportunity to do a bundle or a Definitive Edition.”
However, keep in mind that Rockstar Games is yet to confirm the leaks. While Tez2 is a reputable source for leaks, take this information with a grain of salt. With that said, considering how GTA 4 is already around 17 years old, perhaps it’s time we get to see a remastered version.
