GTA 5 Patch Notes for the May 6, 2025, update reveal a handful of fixes for the game’s Enhanced Edition’s graphics. While the news may get sidelined due to the release of GTA 6 Trailer 2 and its subsequent pandemonium, we have got the patch notes covered in the article below.

GTA 5 May 6 Patch Notes: Full Changelog

The GTA 5 Patch Notes for today’s update are as follows:

[May 6, 2024] – (PC)

  • Fixed several issues with Microsoft account communication and privilege settings
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players not receiving in-game phone calls from each other

[May 6, 2024] – (GTAV Enhanced)

  • Fixed several crashes
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in ropes missing textures in window reflections with ray tracing enabled
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in trees having stretched textures
  • Fixed an issue impacting ray tracing performance across Cayo Perico
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in tire screeching audio not working
  • Fixed an issue in the Story Mode mission ‘By the Book’ that halted progression when running at extremely high frame rates
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in active players getting stuck on the loading screen transitioning into Assault on Cayo Perico mode if a player had idled out
  • Adjusted Lighting Quality setting description to clarify that it only adjusts the quality of shadows from vehicle headlights and enables volumetric lighting effects for some local light sources

It is not a surprise that the Enhanced Edition has received a slew of fixes from Rockstar Games. Released earlier this year, the community did not take kindly to this edition and sits with a ‘Mixed’ review on Steam. These fixes are sure to improve the situation, although there’s much still left to be done. You can find the patch notes on Rockstar Games’ Support Website. The site is currently down due to GTA 6 trailer traffic so you might have some trouble checking it out.
