As we discussed, there is a strong possibility that GTA 6 might become the best game of the decade. It would mark the first Grand Theft Auto title in the last ten years, and that is why gamers are looking forward to experiencing the game as soon as possible. Many believe that this amount of demand would surely affect the price of GTA 6, and Rockstar might set a price tag that will change the standard model for the entire industry and bring a shift to new pricing policies.

While the developer have kept their cards close to their chest and haven’t revealed much about the gameplay or the price of GTA 6, we can take a look at the current industry trends and standards to estimate an expected price for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title:

  • Standard Edition: $70 – $80
  • Deluxe Edition: $100 – $120
  • Collector’s Edition: $150 or more

The Standard Edition

People have speculated that the Standard Edition of GTA 6 will follow the current industry model for AAA games and cost around $70 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, because of the popularity Rockstar has garnered over the years and GTA 6’s ambitious AAAA status, the base price for the game might be higher than current standards and even hit $90. The rumored $2 billion budget for GTA 6’s development only strengthens this theory.

Deluxe and Collector’s Edition

Premium Editions

If we look at Rockstar’s previous releases, such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5, it would be safe to assume that the latest title will feature Premium Editions as well. Many reports have suggested that a Deluxe Edition for GTA 6 might range between $90 and $150, but we do not have a confirmed figure yet. However, because of the reasons we mentioned earlier, both the Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition could cost more than the current standards.

Other than that, according to current industry trends, the premium editions of GTA 6 will include bonuses, additional content, physical collectibles like art books, and such. Additionally, there is also a high possibility that these premium editions will feature early access.
