GTA 6’s price might change industry standards and raise the price tags across the entire gaming landscape. Let’s discuss it in detail.
Since Rockstar released the first teaser for GTA 6 back on December 5, 2023, there have been many speculations and discussions regarding the different aspects of the game, including its potential price tag. The latest installment in the Grand Theft Auto series might become one of the most popular games of the decade, and many future titles might try to imitate Rockstar’s business model. So naturally, many have been eager to know what the price tag will be for GTA 6.

How Much Will GTA 6 Cost?

The Standard Edition
People have speculated that the Standard Edition of GTA 6 will follow the current industry model for AAA games and cost around $70 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, because of the popularity Rockstar has garnered over the years and GTA 6’s ambitious AAAA status, the base price for the game might be higher than current standards and even hit $90. The rumored $2 billion budget for GTA 6’s development only strengthens this theory.
Deluxe and Collector’s Edition
If we look at Rockstar’s previous releases, such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5, it would be safe to assume that the latest title will feature Premium Editions as well. Many reports have suggested that a Deluxe Edition for GTA 6 might range between $90 and $150, but we do not have a confirmed figure yet. However, because of the reasons we mentioned earlier, both the Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition could cost more than the current standards.
