HasanAbi says Asmongold might have to delete half of his YouTube library if a new Texas bill banning certain content gets signed into law.

Popular Twitch streamer and political commentator HasanAbi reacted to a new bill presented in the Texas parliament that could make it illegal to own certain anime, manga, and games. Hasan claimed that Asmongold might have to delete half of his YouTube content if the bill is signed into law. Notably, Asmon lives in Texas, where the bill was proposed.
Hasan also mentioned that Asmon’s favorite VTuber is a “loli,” referencing RevSaysDesu. For those unaware, RevSaysDesu is a VTuber on Twitch whose avatar is a “childlike” female.
“It’s awesome because Asmon literally lives in Texas, and he has to now delete half of his f**king library if this is the case.”

The recently passed Senate Bill 20 in the Texas parliament criminalizes the possession or promotion of obscene visual material depicting minors. Asmongold has previously stated that RevSaysDesu has never sexualized his avatar.
He also mentioned that if it ever happens, he will be the first one to call Rev out. Asmongold had also distanced himself from controversial artist Shadman’s situation. Hasan also remarked on his comments about the Trump administration banning something “near and dear” to Asmongold.

Asmongold Reacts to the Texas Bill Banning Anime Content
Asmongold also reacted to the passed bill on his stream and gave his takes on the matter. The streamer stated that ideologically he supports the bill and does not like the explicit depiction of underage characters. He mentioned that real child abuse material is illegal because victimization promotes consumption of similar material. Asmon believes the same logic cannot be applied to anime because anime does not contain “real people.”
“Ideologically, I support this, I don’t like lolis, I don’t like the underage depiction, like s*xual depiction of underage characters right? But the thing is that, the reason why the real thing is like actual child s*xual abuse material is illegal, is because there is a victim of it.”

“I don’t like lolis, I don’t like the underage depiction…I’m very very torn on this…so many problems in the country, do I want my tax dollars going towards litigating people that like lolis? pic.twitter.com/6KL2KXuUgv
Asmongold said that he was very torn on the matter because he did not think there was a way to do this any other way. The streamer stated that despite there being several problems in the country, he does not want his tax dollars to litigate people that like “lolis.”
“We have so many problems in the country, do I want my tax dollars going towards litigating people that like lolis? No I don’t, I think that money could be spent on like 50 other things that are better.”
