In this guide, we shall go over how to get and use the Serpent Key in Hell Is Us, an exploration item in the game.

Hell Is Us has tons of secrets for you to uncover, and one of them requires you to find a Serpent Key of sorts. As you go about exploring Vyssa Hills, you’ll come across a cave that is blocked by a gate. This gate bears a large serpent-shaped depression, indicating that a serpent-shaped key could fit in here.
Finding the key, however, is a whole different matter. The cave entrance bears no hints of where the key could be, and the serpent icon is all the information you have to go on. If you’re struggling to find this Serpent Key, this guide is for you.

You find the Serpent Key, or Token of the Serpent as it’s called, in the Serpent Ruins of Vyssa Hills. As soon as you enter Vyssa Hills, glance towards the east, and you’ll see ruins with a serpent banner above them. This may be a little difficult to see from far off, but get close and you’ll spot the unmistakable serpent logo at the top of the ruins tower.
Head inside the Serpent Ruins and you’ll find a chest beside the ladder. Unlock this chest using the Twin-Headed Serpent (found in the Restorer’s office in the Lethe National Library). Loot this chest to acquire the Serpent Key (Token of the Serpent).
How To Use the Serpent Key
Once you have the Serpent Key in hand, you can use it to unlock the Serpent Door in Vyssa Hills. Take the key and then exit the Serpent Ruins. Take a right and then another right before the mine entrance. Head up the hill and you’ll find the Serpent Door. Interact with the Serpent Door and place the Serpent Key in the depression. This will unlock the gate, and you can then enter inside.
