Bile Titans in Helldivers 2 are the biggest and baddest of all Terminid enemies you’ll face in the game. They are towering enemies that can easily take out an entire platoon with the large amounts of corrosive acid they spew. Taking them on even with a full squad is problematic, since you only have a limited amount of time while pursuing planetary missions.

So, you not only have to ensure that the squad has enough firepower, but you’ll also need loadouts that do the job quickly. However, before all that, you have to figure out how to encounter Bile Titans in the game.

How To Find Bile Titans in Helldivers 2

Since Bile Titans are the toughest Terminid foes you’ll face, you can find them exclusively in the golden Terminid control zones, which lie in the eastern portion of the Galaxy Map. Set the difficulty settings to Challenging if you want them to show up in this specific zone. You will find certain solo-threat missions featuring Bile Titans. On even higher difficulty modes, they will spawn more frequently. At one point, they might show up as semi-regular foes while you are pursuing missions inside the Terminid gold-colored zone.

How To Defeat Bile Titans in Helldivers 2

The most important thing to remember when you’re battling one of these monstrous enemies is that you must always maintain significant distance from it. If you’re far enough away, there’s a good chance that the Bile Titan’s acid won’t reach you. Unfortunately, you can’t just pick a spot and attack from there, since the enemy is also extremely quick on its feet.

It will charge toward you, and the best solution is to constantly keep moving to maintain proper distance. If you can’t get away quickly enough, you can use the environment to take cover against the Terminid’s acid attacks. Here are a few tips to help you in the fight.

Rely on Heavy Support Weapons

The RS-422 Railgun Support Weapon is a great option to penetrate the creature’s armor

Your primary weapon of choice should be heavy support weapons, such as the Railgun or Autocannon. These types of weaponry will allow you to penetrate the creature’s armor more quickly and deal increased damage. However, if you’re at a lower level, there’s a chance that you might not have unlocked those weapons yet. In that case, a valid alternative would be the APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle. While it doesn’t offer the same degree of armor penetration as the Railgun or Autocannon, it’s still a decent way to break through the Bile Titan’s armor.

Always Leverage the Bile Titan’s Weak Spots

The Bile Titan has some weaknesses that you should definitely exploit. The first spot is on its underside. It’s a green spot that you can target using heavy support weapons. However, due to the placement and the enemy’s movements, it might be difficult to aim at this particular spot all the time. In that case, you can try breaking through the armor on the creature’s face. When that portion breaks, it exposes another weak spot marked in orange.

Use the Correct Strategy

We suggest equipping one of the squad members with light armor. Doing so improves their speed and stamina regen. This team member should run around and try to distract the Bile Titan and draw most of its attacks. This allows the rest of the squad to dole out massive amounts of attacks on the enemy without facing retaliation all that often.

Also, if the Bile Titan is too close, it will likely not use its acid attack on you. Instead, it will shift to its melee attack, which should give you some extra time and space to deal with any Bile Spewers nearby.

Stratagems To Pick

Orbital and Eagle Strikes work the best against this acid-spewing Terminid. You should aim for the creature’s head when lining it up for Stratagem hits. If you manage to strike that target, it could take out the Bile Titan in that one hit. The following are the best Stratagems to consider using.

  • Orbital Laser
  • Orbital Precision Strike
  • Eagle 500Kg Bomb
  • Orbital Railcannon Strike
  • Eagle Napalm Strike

Defeating Bile Titan Solo

Defeating a Bile Titan while playing alone is extremely challenging, although possible. You’ll need to master each aspect of such a battle, including the exploitation of weak spots, use of Stratagems, and more. It’s certainly something new players shouldn’t attempt. However, if you think you are up to the task, the following couple of loadouts can work in your favor while soloing the enemy.
