PlayStation’s popular live service PvE shooter Helldivers has been making waves across the genre, so much so that it came to PC and thrived there, too. Since the game had crossplay, Helldivers 2 coming to PC boosted the player count further, allowing people from both platforms to play seamlessly with one another. Now, the player count is setting up for another boost as Helldivers 2 comes to Xbox.
Yes, you heard that right. Helldivers 2 is coming to Xbox. The game will be coming to Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on August 26, 2025. This is massive news as this will be the first major PlayStation exclusive crossing over to Xbox.
Helldivers 2 will not be coming over to Xbox Game Pass, so the only way to play the game on the Xbox ecosystem would be to purchase it. If you’re already sold on the game, you may wish to preorder it, and we’re here to help you with that.
How To Preorder Helldivers 2 for Xbox
As stated earlier, Helldivers 2 is coming to Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. If you’re on any of those two platforms and wish to preorder, follow the steps given below:
- Load up your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console and connect it to the internet.
- Head to the Microsoft Store app and select the search bar.
- Inside the search bar, type in “Helldivers 2.” This will bring you to the Helldivers 2 product page.
- Select the edition you wish to buy, and make the payment with your linked Credit/Debit cards to purchase the game.
- Once the purchase is complete, you can find the game in your library. You won’t be able to download the game just yet, however.

The first is the standard edition of the game and only includes the base game. This edition comes with a price tag of $39.99.
