Helldivers 2 Weapon Customization Explained

Helldivers 2 weapon customization was added as part of the game’s May 13, 2025, update. Customization includes the primary weapon’s sights, color patterns, ammo capacity of the magazine, tweaks to the muzzle for performance, and the addition of under-barrel attachments. Keep in mind that only the primary weapon is customizable, and not everyone will have all the aforementioned options.

How To Customize Weapons and Add Attachments in Helldivers 2

Weapons now have levels, meaning equipped primary weapons will get XP based on how your session went and gain levels. To customize Helldivers 2 weapons and add attachments, follow these steps:

• Once you select the desired weapon in the Armory, you will be able to bring up the menu for customization.
• Attachments can be bought with Requisition Slips. You can buy the attachments that you have unlocked through leveling up.
• Weapon configurations can also be saved so that you can cycle between several of them.

The May 13 update also introduced new enemies to Helldivers 2, with the Illuminate threat having grown. The developers have mentioned “larger, more powerful enemies” in the Illuminate fleet. This includes the Stingray, which are jet fighters that provide Illuminate support from above. A new ground force from them has also been confirmed: the Fleshmob. There have also been reports of “other, even larger ships, though details remain unclear on their abilities.”
