1. Death Stranding
Death Stranding by Kojima Productions takes place in a dystopian future where humanity is surviving in a harsh world. You are essentially working as a “delivery man” on a planet that is no longer crawling with humans or any other benevolent life forms. In fact, what’s left is pretty horrifying to come across. What attracts me to this game is the influence that Kojima took from cosmic and Lovecraftian horror. Although the gameplay can get slightly repetitive, the plot and graphics can make it worth it.
2. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Hideo Kojima and the Metal Gear Solid series went hand in hand. Both helped each other gain popularity in the gaming industry. While the first game was already a remarkable project when looking at it in retrospect, MGS 2: Sons of Liberty gave the series a graphical overhaul.
3. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater hit the rewind button and came out as a prequel. The premise of the game was the Cold War era, contrary to earlier titles that focused on future wars instead. Snake Eater subtly opposed the idea of nuclear arms and did a good job of that. Gameplay-wise, it was more advanced than its predecessors for obvious reasons.
