Hollow Knight Silksong: The Last Judge Boss Guide
Where To Find The Last Judge

The Last Judge is right before the Citadel’s main gate, that can be reached through the right side of Blasted Steps. Just before the Grand Gate, which is marked on your map with a silver globe icon. The Last Judge has a requirement to ring six bells on the Kingdom of Pharloom. And, if you reach the gate without ringing all six, the game marks it on your map. After activating all six bells, traverse through the hard platform section and get ready for a tough bossfight.
The run to the boss involves some tough platforms and pogo bouncing on bells. But, the basic direction is top-right of Blasted Steps until you spot the dead golden hue of the Citadel.
Last Judge Boss Fight Overview

The Last Judge is a slow boss that has two phases. The first one lets you learn all it moves, and the second will add some aoe and pace to its attacks. Here are all the Boss moves that it can use during the fight in Hollow Knight Silksong:
First Phase of The Last Judge
- Jump Slam: This is the most spammed move in the boss fight. The Last Judge jumps to Hornet’s location. Deals one damage.
- Spinning Censer: The Last Judge spins its censer around itself if Hornet gets too close to the boss. The censer deals damage within the circle. Deals two damage.
- Throwing Censer: The Last Judge throws its censer at Hornet and pulls it back. The censer has strong tracking and can hit Hornet if she is between the censer and the boss on the ground. Deals two damage.
Second Phase of The Last Judge
The second of the Last Judge enhances its attacks with flames and becomes much faster. Here are all the moves that are enhanced:
- Flaming Jump Slam: The Slam now spreads fire on the floor, avoidable with a jump.
- Flame Censer Rings: The Spinning Censer spreads flames and ignites after a while. This attack also has a faster version where the rings of fire ignite twice. The smokes indicate where the flames will ignite.
- Throwing Censer Grenade: The thrown censer now explodes after it reached the ground. Deals two damage.
- Flaming Dash: This is a new move where the boss moves across the floor in Hornet’s direction. It also leaves pillars of flames behind.
- Self-Destruct: After defeating the Last Judge, the boss ignites and explodes, covering a large area in an explosion. If Hornet dies during this explosion, the boss fight will have to be repeated. There are around 4–5 seconds to move away from the explosion.
Last Judge Boss Fight Tips and Tricks

The Last Judge in Silksong is a boss that loves standing and using its censer to throw attacks. It is the most vulnerable after its Jumping Slam, where you can land 2 hits easily. For most of her attacks, only the spinning censer is a move that needs to be dashed away in anticipation. But, even during the attack, you can throw some spike traps that deal massive damage, as it just tanks the entire damage.
The Throwing Censer attack is also a good time to hit the boss if you dash towards the Last Judge fast enough. But make sure that you pogo attack and stay away from the ground, as the Censer deals two damage on hit.
The second phase’s Dash attack is also a good window to attack if you make it to the end of the dash. Sometimes, the flame pillars don’t summon to the front of the boss, leaving enough room to land 3–4 hits. Even the Jumping Slam can be a good window, as you can just pogo while avoiding the flames on the floor.
Using the Magma Bell also negates one damage from its flame attacks. And, if you have the Magnetite Dice, it might prove useful as it can randomly negate one instance of damage from the boss.
